Southwestern Oregon’s men soccer team opened the 2018 campaign with a 5-0 win over Blue Mtn. at the Starfire Complex Friday. The Lakers (1-0) are scheduled to host Everett on Saturday, Sept. 1. The women’s soccer team lost their opener to Centralia 3-0. SWOCC (0-1) is scheduled to host Everett on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2:30 p.m. At the Volleyball Showcase, Southwestern downed Tacoma 2-0 on Saturday. That same day, Treasure Valley beat the Lakers 2-0, but SWOCC came back and downed Big Bend 2-0 and then fell 2-0 to Blue Mtn. On Sunday, Southwestern bettered Green River 2-0 and Everett 2-0. SWOCC is next scheduled to play at Feather River in California on Sept. 4.
