A good weekend for Southwestern Oregon men’s basketball. The Lakers won three games at Whatcom College in Washington. On Friday, SWOCC beat Whatcom 92-86. Saturday over Gray’s Harbor 77-54, and Sunday, beat Big Bend 68-53. Southwestern (11-2) next plays at Lane, in Eugene, on Jan. 3 (7:30p). The Laker women won two-out-of-three in Washington. On Friday, SWOC lost to Spokane 64-59 at Olympic College. Saturday, the Lakers beat Pierce 68-55 at Bremerton, WA, and on Sunday, downed Olympic 71-64. Southwestern (4-5) plays at Lane, Eugene, on Wednesday, Jan. 3 (5:30p).
