Southwestern Oregon’s men downed visiting Clackamas 89-86 in an NWAC basketball game at Prosper Hall on the Coos Bay campus Saturday. The Lakers have two games remaining in the regular season at Mt. Hood Monday, Feb. 19th, 5p, and at Clark on Saturday, Feb. 24, 4p. SWOCC is in second place (10-4, 21-6) in the NWAC South trailing Portland (11-1, 19-4), and leading Umpqua (8-5, 17-9). Southwestern’s women lost their sixth in a row to visiting Clackamas Saturday 69-57. Two games remain in the Lakers (2-12, 6-17) regular season at Mt. Hood Monday, Feb. 19, 3p, and at Clark, Saturday, Feb. 24, 2p. SWOCC’s baseball team opened the 2024 season with a couple of wins over visiting Gray’s Harbor, Sunday, Feb. 18. The Lakers took the first game 11-3 & the second game 14-2. The two teams play a doubleheader on Monday, Feb. 19, 10a & 2p. SWOCC’s softball team opened with a pair of wins at Blue Mtn., Pendleton, Saturday. The Lakers won 17-0 & 17-2. No score on the Linfield games, Sunday. SWOCC will host Treasure Valley, Feb. 24, 11a & 1p.
