Portland beat visiting Southwestern Oregon 90-79 in a men’s NWAACC basketball game Saturday night in the Rose City. The Lakers (5-2, 16-5) shot 32.9% for the game, while the Panthers (5-2, 14-7) were 49.3% from the field. DJ Anderson scored 19-points to lead SWOCC. PCC (3-3, 7-11) also won the women’s game 72-61. Arrayana Edwards and Callie Franz each scored 15-points for the Lakers (1-5, 12-10). Southwestern next hosts Mt. Hood on Saturday, Feb. 1.
