Southwestern Oregon’s men opened the 2018-19 community college basketball season with an 118-108 win over Multnomah JV Friday at Randall Hall in Oregon City. On Saturday, the Lakers downed Pacific University JV also at Randall Hall, 131-76. SWOCC (2-0) next plays Friday, Nov. 23, 8 p.m., against Lower Columbia at the Lower Columbia Red Devil Classic in Longview, WA. Southwestern’s women lost their opener Friday, 75-58 against Yakima Valley at the Yakima Tip Off Tournament in Washington. On Saturday, the Lakers downed Grays Harbor 89-74, and on Sunday fell to Wenatchee Valley 73-51. SWOCC (1-2) plays at the Clackamas Thanksgiving Tournament Friday, Nov. 23, 1 p.m., against Clackamas.
