Southwestern Oregon’s volleyball team ended the NWAC regular season on a winning note Friday with a 3-0 win over Rogue CC at Grants Pass. The Lakers end with an overall record of 10-17, 3-11 in the South Region of the NWAC. SWOCC’s men fell 4-0 to Highline CC at Spokane, WA Saturday in an NWAC quarter-final soccer match. The Lakers finish 10-4-2 overall, 7-3-2 (2nd place) in the South Region. Southwestern’s women fell in an NWAC Regional Playoff match Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Coos Bay to end the season with an overall record of 7-5-2, and 7-1-2 (2nd place) in the South Region. Women’s basketball began with an Alumni contest Saturday, Nov. 5. The “present day” Lakers won 76-50. Next up for SWOCC is Pierce at Lane CC, Eugene, Nov. 18. Men’s basketball begins Nov. 18, vs. Fraser Valley, at Umpqua CC.
