Southwestern Oregon won its home NWAC volleyball opener over visiting Umpqua CC from Roseburg. The Lakers won 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-15) to improve to 1-2 in the NWAC South and 12-10 overall. SWOCC travels to Clark College in Vancouver, WA Saturday.

Southwestern Oregon’s soccer teams host Clackamas and Chemketa in a pair of NWAC matches in Coos Bay Saturday. The women play the Cougars at noon, followed by the men against the Storm at 2:15 p.m.
