An autopsy completed Tuesday afternoon, August 3rd, by the Coos Co. Medical Examiner determined that Dr. Craig Jackson died as a result of a “gunshot wound to the head,” according to a news release from Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier. “The evidence so far suggests that Dr. Jackson was the victim of a targeted home invasion. We do not believe the public is in any danger.” Dr. Jackson was killed during the early morning hours of Monday, August 2nd in him home on Stanton St. in North Bend. His wife was at home but not injured. The Coos Co. Major Crime Task Force is investigating.
