News release CBPD. On 09/07/17, Marshfield High School officials received a report of an inappropriate relationship that had occurred during the previous school year between a teacher, William A. Paget, 24 years of old and a minor student. School officials immediately notified the School Resource Officer and a criminal investigation ensued. School officials also immediately placed Paget on administrative leave pending the criminal investigation. On 09/13/17, a search warrant was executed at Paget’s residence in Coos Bay and he was ultimately taken into custody. Paget was transported to Coos County Jail where he was booked on one count of Sexual Abuse III, one count of Official Misconduct, one count of Contributing to the Sexual Delinquency of a Minor, one count of Sexual Misconduct, and two counts of Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana to a Juvenile by a Person Over 21. The investigation is still ongoing.
