A 16-year old student from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay died early Monday morning, Feb. 17, from complications related to Influenza B. Coos Bay District 9 Superintendent Bryan Trendell released a statement to parents Monday through the District’s website. “It is with great sadness that I need to inform you that early this morning one of our Marshfield High School students passed away due to complications of Influenza B. The school crisis team has met and will be available for students and staff throughout the week.”
