City of Coos Bay release – On January 16th the city of Coos Bay Transportation and Facilities group was alerted to a slide on Coos River Highway between 12th Ave. & D Street in Eastside. Knife River Materials was contacted to aid the city in evaluating the roadway and develop a plan for repairs. To complete the work, there will be lane closures controlled by flaggers. Flagging may be required overnight. Work will begin on January 16th and will be completed as soon as possible, weather dependent. Please follow the direction of flaggers and please slow down and take caution when near the construction zone.
