News release City of Coos Bay. The City of Coos Bay will be installing a bridge crossing along 6th Avenue located approximately 300 feet south of F Street. Construction is anticipated to span from October 23, 2017 to February 15, 2018 from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. For safety reasons, traffic along 6th Avenue will be affected for both light weight and heavy hauling vehicles. Due to safety concerns, there will be a complete closure of the project site for two days October 25 – 26, 2017. During this complete road closure, all light weight traffic will be detoured along F Street, 9th Avenue and H Street.
