It is Turkey Day in America. Thanksgiving 2021 and we have a lot to be thankful for this year. Yes, things are better this year than a year ago when we were totally wrapped up in a pandemic we didn’t fully understand. Now that there is a vaccine there is a sense of relief headed into this Holiday. However, that does not mean the virus is through with us. It continues its silent, unseen path through our society. Traffic is expected to be strong, drive carefully and plan ahead with ODOT’s TripCheck. Most businesses, governmental agencies, schools and financial institutions are closed for Thanksgiving, but you can expect a big rush the day after in the retail stores as the Christmas shopping season gets into full swing.
