Coquille Tribe release – North Bend, Ore. – In keeping with national efforts to reduce the spread of the novel coronavirus, management of The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park announced today that they will extend the facility’s closure beyond the initial seven days announced last week. Remaining closed will be the casino, all restaurants, the hotel and The Mill RV Park. “We are convinced this is the right decision to help protect our communities, our guests and our employees and to support our statewide shelter-in-place policy,” said Terri Porcaro, CEO at The Mill. “We are doing everything we can to support our employees while we remain closed and will continue to listen to health experts to determine our next steps.” Management at The Mill will work with affected employees to use paid time off or to become eligible for unemployment benefits during the closure. Health insurance benefits will be guaranteed throughout the month of April. Although its office will be closed, The Mill RV Park will be available to travelling nurses who use the facility while treating patients in the area. The parking area also will be available to truckers bringing goods to the South Coast. A reopening date has not been determined and will depend on community health considerations.
