Thomasson Arraigned, Dec. 13

The 29-year old male accused of killing his 80-year old grandfather at his residence Sunday, December 10, in Coos Bay, was arraigned before a Coos Co. Circuit Court Judge Tuesday morning in Coquille.  According to District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, James Jay Thomasson was arraigned on a charge of murder before Judge Martin Stone.  He was ordered held with a security amount set at $2 million.  The case was set over to Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, 8:30 a.m.  Frasier anticipates the case will be presented to the Coos County Grand Jury later this week.
