All northbound traffic on Sherman Avenue in North Bend, between Washington and Vermont Avenues, will be closed during daylight hours on Friday, November 6th. This area is located in the vicinity of Little Theater on the Bay. The lane closure is due to fire hydrant repair work to be performed by Coos Bay – North Bend Water Board. Northbound traffic turning onto Highway 101 will be directed to a posted detour route via Vermont Avenue, then north on McPherson Avenue back to Cape Arago Highway. Sidewalks on the east side of Sherman Avenue in this area will also be detoured. The city would like to remind everyone to observe all warning signs and be cautious when navigating detour routes.
