Transient moved in, Feb. 7

News release from the Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office. “On February 5, 2014, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Oceanview Street in Yachats on a reported trespassing. The complainant reported that a transient male had set up camp in their fenced backyard and was walking around looking at their property. Sheriff’s deputies contacted Russell WIRTH, 62, as he was leaving the complainant’s yard. WIRTH had been contacted several times in the past month by deputies while he was living outdoors in the Yachats and Newport area. WIRTH refused to cooperate when the deputies tried to interview him, and physically tried to resist when he was taken into custody. WIRTH was transported and lodged at the Lincoln County jail on the charge of Criminal Trespass in the second degree and held on $10,000 bail.”
