Transitional Education and GED Orientations Scheduled for Spring Term, March 9

The Transitional Education Department, a college and career preparation program at Southwestern Oregon Community College, will be offering GED exam preparation, college and career preparation and college placement test preparation this term. Students can build a pipeline to enter college, training programs and jobs in high-demand career areas. Orientation is scheduled for March 27, 2015 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm in Tioga Hall, 3rd floor, on the Coos Bay Campus. All new students can call 541-888-1593 to sign up for orientation for the term. GED classes will be held Monday – Thursday between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm, based on individual schedules. Night classes will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Transitional Education front desk hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also offer GED classes in Brookings. The cost per term is $50. Spring term 2015: March 30th – June 11th 2015.
