Trauma-Informed Yoga at NBPL, April 1

Fridays in April, join yoga instructor Iowa Wander for trauma-informed yoga at the North Bend Public Library. These free classes will be held each Friday at 9 am. Trauma-informed yoga is an approach to yoga that is designed to be sensitive and supportive to the needs of participants with trauma symptoms. This approach makes the practice safer and more accessible for all. The intention is to create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space where students can start reconnecting with themselves and feel safe in their bodies. It emphasizes safety, empowers choice, and shares tools for resiliency and self-regulation. The instructor, Iowa Wander, trained at Oregon’s School Yoga Institute, and is a certified instructor of trauma-informed yoga. This program will be both live and virtual. There will be room for a limited number of masked attendees to attend live. Those wishing to attend live should fill out the form at https://forms.office.com/r/8Pv4JZPj9W and wait for confirmation. Zoom attendees may register at https://tinyurl.com/nhhzr6v9. This class will not be recorded. Attendees, whether live or virtual, should wear comfortable clothing and have water nearby. The classes last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
