On March 30, 2016 at about 3PM, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle head-on crash on Highway 20 near milepost 26 (east of Bend). Preliminary investigation indicates a 2005 Saturn van was traveling westbound on Highway 20 when it drifted off the highway onto the north shoulder. The van then traveled back onto the highway and crossed over the centerline, striking an eastbound 1999 Ford Explorer head-on. After the collision, both vehicles came to rest on the south side of the highway. The driver of the van, Wesley V EARP, age 54, of Redmond, was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency personnel. The driver of the Ford, Jim E REYNOLDS, age 65, and his passenger, Fayme L REYNOLDS, age 65 (both of Bend) were also pronounced deceased on scene. The highway was closed for an about one hour before opening one lane. All lanes were opened at about 6:30PM.
