The Coos Bay Downtown Association will hold an alternative Halloween event for children Friday, Oct. 30, 3-5 p.m. at participating merchants. An orange pumpkin poster will be displayed in the windows of the businesses involved. A list is also available at the CBDA website www.coosbaydowntown.org, and at the CB Fire Dept. (450 Elrod). A Trunk or Treat event will also take place in the downtown parking lot at 4th & Bennett. Vehicles will be decorated in Halloween style and treats offered to Trick-Or-Treaters.
