News release CBPD. On Monday, January 9th, the Coos Bay Police Department responded to Coos Bay Toyota after a 2017 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from the business the night before. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspects were Camden Mcsorley, and Kaitlyn Owens. Mcsorley was released from the Coos County Jail on 01/06/2017, after serving 85 days of a 100 day sentence for a previous crime of Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. Later in the afternoon of January 9th, Officers observed Mcsorley and Owens outside of a residence in Eastside. Officers from the Coos Bay Police Department, along with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence and located the stolen truck. During the course of the investigation, Officers also located numerous other property items in and around the vehicle that had just been stolen in a residential burglary in the Myrtle Point area. Mcsorley and Owens were arrested at the scene and charged with Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary I, Theft I, Parole Violation, and Probation Violation.
