Two Arrested on Robbery Charge, Sept. 1

On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 1:20 am, the 9-1-1 Center received a report of a male who had entered the 103 Chevron in Riddle (200 Pruner Road) and attempted to leave with a six pack of beer. An employee of the store attempted to stop the man from leaving. While doing so, the employee was punched and pushed from the suspect’s vehicle while it was moving at approximately 30-40 miles per hour. A deputy located the suspect vehicle, which was stolen, travelling on Interstate 5 near milepost 86 and attempted to perform a traffic stop, at which point the driver attempted to flee. The pursuit ended at milepost 79 on Interstate 5, after an Oregon State Police Trooper was able to successfuly deflate the tires on the suspect vehicle. The driver, 19 year-old Cody Duane Wyckoff of Glide, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Felony), Attempt to Elude Police – Vehicle (Felony), Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (Misdemeanor), Recklessly Endangering Another Person (Misdemeanor), Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Felony), Robbery III (Felony), Assault II (Felony), Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor). The 20 year-old passenger, Jason Lee Snyder of Winston, was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Felony), Robbery III (Felony), Assault II (Felony).
