Two earthquakes shook the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Thursday morning, Feb. 14 and late Wednesday, Feb. 13. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quakes were located near the south and north junctions of the two fault lines. A 4.8-magnitude quake was recorded west of Port Hardy, Canada early Thursday and a 3.5-magnitude quake was located west of Ferndale, CA late Wednesday near Cape Mendocino.
