A couple of earthquakes shook the Cape Mendocino area Tuesday, July 9, where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quakes were 2.9 & 3.0-magnitudes and were located west & southwest of Petrolia, CA.
