Umpqua River Drowning, June 9

A 61-year old Coos Bay man accidentally drowned in the Umpqua River. The body of Dean L. Montgomery was found Saturday evening, June 6, about 13-miles east of Reedsport. His boat was found beached on the opposite shore with the motor still running. It also reportedly had extensive damage to the prop and the rear of the boat.
