Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Building Self-Healing Communities program at North Bend Public Library, Aug. 10

NBPL release – At 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 10th, the North Bend Public Library is teaming up with South Coast Together to offer a workshop named Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Building Self-Healing Communities. The 1998 CDC/Kaizer study of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) led to new understandings of the links between abuse, neglect, and dysfunction in childhood and health outcomes including asthma, lowered immunity, heart disease, and elevated risks of cancer and early death. This program will focus on ACEs scores and the adverse effects on health and wellbeing. The program on August 10th, Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Building Self-Healing Communities will be held in person only.
