Understanding the World of Computers with Dennis Dater, Sept. 15

On Friday, September 15th, the Coos Bay Public Library, in partnership with library volunteer Dennis Dater, will co-host a new series to understand and develop skills around new technology. These programs are FREE and are open to everyone. Starting at 2:00 PM, in the library’s Myrtlewood Room, Dennis will conduct two workshops. The first is to help patrons transfer important digital photographs and video to a hard drive. As this is a workshop, participants are encouraged to bring their personal devices such as smartphones and laptops. The second workshop is about passwords and password managers. Each month we will offer more FREE talks, demonstrations and drop-in computer labs aimed at making sense of emerging technology and how to use your personal devices with fewer headaches. You can visit the Coos Bay Public Library at 525 Anderson Ave in Coos Bay. Find out about other great library programs by visiting https://www.coosbaylibrary.org/events/month.
