According to figures released by the Oregon Employment Dept., June’s jobless rate was in double digits across the board. In Oregon 11.2% of the workforce was unemployed during the month, that compares to 3.8% last year and 3.9% in 2018. In Coos County, 12.6% unemployed in June, that compares with 5.0% in 2019 and 5.1% in 2018. In Curry Co., 13.4% unemployed during June, that compares with 5.2% last year and 5.9% the previous year. In Douglas Co., 10.6% unemployed in June, compared to 5.0% last year and 5.2% the previous year.
