Coos County’s unemployment rate for May 2020 was 17.8% that’s up from 5.1% the previous two years. Curry County’s rate was 17.3%, up from 5.3% last year and 5.9% in 2018. Oregon’s rate was 14.2%, higher than the 3.9% in May of 2019 and 4.0% the previous year according to figures compiled by the Oregon Employment Dept.
