Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Oregon Employment Department September employment and unemployment rate news release originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 AM has been postponed until Wednesday, October 14 at 10:00 AM. Like all states, Oregon’s monthly reports are created in partnership with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). We typically receive data from the BLS early and release it three days prior to the BLS data publication for all states. However, difficulties in data collection and analysis related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the federal holiday on October 12, have caused a delay in our early access to this data. Our mission is to develop and distribute quality workforce and economic information to promote informed decision-making. We apologize for the delay this month and any inconvenience it causes. Questions: Please contact Nick Beleiciks, Systems and Economic Analysis Manager at Nick.J.Beleiciks@Oregon.gov.
