According to a report from the Oregon Employment Dept. for June 2019, unemployment rates in Coos & Curry counties were nearly the same as the previous year. In Coos Co., the rate for June 2019 was 5.3%, up from 5.2% in June 2018, while in Curry Co., the rate in June 2019 ws 5.7%, down from the 6.0% recorded last year. Oregon’s overall jobless rate for June 2019 was 4.1%, up from 4.0% in June 2018.
