News release CCSO. On July 4, 2017 at about 11:41 am, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man down on the North Loop Trail of the Horse Camp are of Bullards State Park. The initial report to dispatch was the person was not conscious and not breathing. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. Bay Cities Ambulance and Bandon Rural Fire Department assisted. Deputies went to where the man was a couple of miles from the Horse Camp and confirmed he was deceased. The deceased man did not have any identification upon him and deputies could not verify who he was. The Coos County Deputy Medical Examiner was notified and later a mortuary arrived to remove the body. An investigation by deputies of the scene was conducted. The person is described as a white male adult, brown hair with streaks of gray, facial hair to include a graying beard and mustache. The Coos County Medical Examiner and the Coos County Sheriff’s Office are still conducting an investigation into the identity of the deceased as well as cause and manner of his death.
