Oregon’s men fell 62-56 to visiting Washington State Saturday at the Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene. The Ducks (8-5, 16-8) play at Oregon State Saturday, Feb. 17, 7p, Pac-12 Networks. Oregon State’s men lost to visiting Washington 67-55 at Gill Coliseum, Corvallis Saturday. The Beavers (3-10, 11-13) get the Ducks at home Feb. 10th.

Oregon’s women dropped two Pac-12 basketball games over the weekend. The Ducks lost Friday at Colorado 90-57, and on Sunday lost 70-48 at Utah. Oregon (2-10, 11-14) hosts USC Friday, Feb. 16, 7p, Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, on Pac-12 Oregon. Oregon State swept both road games. The Beavers beat Utah Friday 58-44, and knocked off Colorado Sunday 65-59. OSU (9-3, 20-3) hosts UCLA, Friday, 7p, Gill Coliseum, Corvallis, on Pac-12 Los Angeles.

Oregon State’s wrestling team won at Wyoming Saturday 34-6. The Beavers (2-2, 6-5) are at Stanford Sunday, Feb. 18, 2 p.m., Pac-12 Bay Area.

Oregon’s softball team dropped their season opener to Indiana, 7-5, Thursday, at Clearwater, FL as part of the NFCA Leadoff Classic at Clearwater, FL. The Ducks came back Friday and beat Kansas 5-3, and beat Liberty 8-0. On Saturday, Oregon beat Missouri State 8-0, but lost 3-2 to Clemson. Sunday, the Ducks finished the trip with a 12-1 win over Army. Oregon (4-2) heads to the Campbell/Cartier Classic at San Diego on Friday to open against Texas A&M, Friday, 10 a.m. Oregon State’s softball team opened at the USF Rawlings Invitational, Tampa, FL, Friday, and beat Bethune-Cookman 9-1, but lost to Florida, 1-0. On Saturday, the Beavers beat Illinois State 1-0, and South Florida 7-1. On Sunday, OSU lost to Michigan 2-1. Oregon State (3-2) heads to the Fresno State Tournament, Friday, Feb. 16, and open against St. Mary’s, 1p.

UO release – Oregon also added four top-10 program performances. EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team won six events and recorded four top-10 program marks Saturday at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., and the Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston. The Ducks’ winners circle includes Jadyn Mays (60 meters), Ella Clayton (400), Silan Ayyildiz (3,000), Aaliyah McCormick (60 hurdles), and the women’s 4×400 and men’s distance medley relays. In a 1-2 finish over 3,000 meters, Ayyildiz and Dalia Frias recorded the No. 3 and 8 performances in program history, respectively. Ayyildiz stopped the clock in 8:56.60 less than 24 hours after Friday’s 4:30.38 effort in the mile. Frias established a new lifetime best of 9:04.20, knocking more than 16 seconds off her previous best (9:20.28) from last year. The UO men got the day started with a DMR win at the Eagle Elite Invitational in Boston. The team of Matthew Erickson, Kojo Manu, James Harding and Tomas Palfrey combined for a time of 9:35.90, six seconds clear of runner-up Texas. Erickson, Harding and Palfrey were back on the track from Friday’s sections of the 800 meters. McCormick posted the Ducks’ first Don Kirby victory Saturday with her season-best 8.07 over the 60-meter hurdles. She was the fastest qualifier out of the prelims in 8.16, a then-season best before the final. Based on reported times entering the day, McCormick moves inside the national top 10 for this season. Back from Friday’s victory in the 200, Mays made it 2-for-2 in Albuquerque with the help of a season-best 7.13 over 60 meters. The time adjusts to 7.15 (altitude) for NCAA qualifying purposes. Mays was also the 60-200 winner at last year’s Don Kirby meet. Mays led a 1-5-6 finish for Oregon with Lily Jones (7.39) and Alexa Rossum (7.41), both season-best times. Rodrick Pleasant, in just his second meet, lowered his lifetime best to 6.69 and finished fourth in the men’s 60 meters. Teammate PJ Ize-Iyamu, Jr., followed in fifth place at 6.73, also a personal best. Clayton was part of two wins and two top-10 efforts Saturday, individually at 400 meters and later teamed with Shana Grebo, Katriina Wright and Shaniya Hall in the 4×400-meter relay. In the two-lap sprint, the UO junior lowered her indoor best to 52.41 which moved her from fourth to third on the program’s all-time list. Closing out the weekend, the quartet of Clayton, Grebo, Wright and Hall combined for a season-best time of 3:31.34, good for the win and the No. 6 relay showing in school history. The time adjusts to 3:31.78 (altitude) which puts the Ducks 11th on the NCAA performance list this season; the top 12 at season’s end advance to the national meet. For the first time in their respective careers, Aiden Smith and Benjamin Balazs dropped under eight minutes for the 3,000 meters. Smith was the Ducks’ top performer Saturday with a lifetime best of 7:56.11, good for eighth place overall. Balazs, with a personal best of his own, clocked in at 7:59.92 which secured a top-20 finish. Sergio Del Barrio and Izaiah Steury finished in 8:01.00 and 8:01.06, respectively. In the first field result of the day, Jaida Ross saved her best measure of the day—18.03m/59-2—for round six of the shot put and finished second. Ross lost her national lead in the event to winner Mya Lesnar of Colorado State (19.07m/62-6.75) but holds the No. 2 spot with her 18.84m/61-9.75 at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 27). OSU release – SEATTLE and ALBEQUERQUE, NM – Oregon State earned five new all-time top 10 marks and saw growth from several young athletes at the Don Kirby Invitational and Husky Classic. “Our group had a great weekend,” said head coach Louie Quintana. “We ran some amazing 3Ks and miles over the last couple days in Seattle and saw extremely encouraging results from our sprinters and jumpers in Albequerque. Our you pole vault group had some great attempts at 3.52m. The team is coming together.” The best single race of the weekend for OSU was the 3,000 meters in Seattle, where Kate Laurent obliterated her previous PR and raced to the no. 5 spot at Oregon State with a 9:23.77. Noemi Lundgren, a freshman, entered the top 10 with a 9:35.91. Sage Brooks and Kaylee Mitchell, while not posting new personal bests, also ran times that would comfortably be in the top 10 and placed highly in a large field of runners at UW. Erika Cunniam raced to a personal best in the event as well. Maya Baechler also scored a new top-10 mark in Seattle with a 2:11.20 in the 800 meters. The mark places her sixth all-time in one of the freshman’s first collegiate races. Ava McKee just missed a top-10 mark with a PR of 2:16.96. In Albuquerque, sophomore Lizzie Hatton made a mark with the eighth-best long jump mark at OSU: 5.66m/18-7. Veterans Delaney Bahn and Anneke Moersdorf each easily cleared 19 feet in the event as both close in on personal records and the Oregon State school record. Abby Buckley raced to a personal best and the OSU no. 10 time in the 200 meters with a 25.49. The Beavs also got a trio of PRs in the pole vault with Lillia Montiel, Claire Lee and Mia Fowler all clearing 3.34m/10-10.75 to narrowly bypass their previous best of 3.25m/10-8. Oregon State will have a weekend off before heading back to Seattle for the Ken Shannon Last Chance meet.
