UO Spring FB Game
On a sunny-blue sky day in the Willamette Valley, and before an estimated 42,000 football fans, Dan Lanning debuted Saturday at Autzen Stadium, Eugene, as Oregon’s new football coach. It was the annual Spring Game and fans were treated to three quarterbacks who threw for a combined five touchdown passes. Auburn transfer Bo Nix led the way with three strikes while freshman Ty Thompson and Jay Butterfield each had one. All three QB’s also had one interception. Nix’s Yellow Squad won 31-21.

Oregon’s softball team was swept by visiting Washington in three Pac-12 games at Jane Sanders Stadium, Eugene. The Huskies won Friday 9-0, Saturday 9-7 (8), and Sunday 5-0. The Ducks (5-13, 26-16) are scheduled to host Oregon State beginning Friday, 6 p.m., Pac-12 Networks. Oregon State lost three one-run games to visiting UCLA at Kelly Field, Corvallis. Friday 6-5, Saturday 3-2 & Sunday 4-3. OSU (7-11, 31-15) is at Oregon on Friday.

Oregon’s baseball team dropped two-out-of-three Pac-12 games to visiting Washington State at PK Park, Eugene. The Ducks won the opener Friday 8-7 (10), but lost Saturday 10-8 and Sunday 8-7 (10). Oregon (11-7, 26-13) is scheduled to host Oregon State Tuesday, 6 p.m., Pac-12 Insider. Oregon State swept three from visiting Washington at Goss Stadium, Corvallis. The Beavers won Friday 4-3 (10), Saturday 8-0 & Sunday 7-1. The Beavers (13-5, 31-8) are at Oregon Tuesday.
