Oregon rallied for three runs in the ninth inning to beat Hawaii on Monday, 3-2, giving the 20th-ranked Ducks three out of four in the series at Les Murakami Stadium. The Ducks kick off a four-game series with their 2015 home opener Thursday, against New Mexico State at 6 p.m. The second game, Friday at 6 p.m., will be a “White Out” in PK Park, with the first 1,500 fans receiving a Nike T-shirt.

Due to thunderstorms in the area, Oregon’s doubleheader at Houston Monday was postponed to Tuesday. The No. 2 ranked Ducks will meet the Cougars at noon and 2 p.m. PT on Tuesday before heading to College State, Texas, on Wednesday to face Sam Houston State at 11:30 a.m. PT and Texas A&M at 2:30 p.m. PT. Oregon wraps up its Texas road trip at the Baylor Invitational, starting on Thursday. The Ducks will now play nine games over a five day span.

Dane Lund and KJ Harrison each recorded two hits Monday in Oregon State’s 5-2 loss to New Mexico at Surprise Stadium. The game marked the final of the first weekend of play for the Beavers, who are due to stay in Surprise for another tournament beginning Thursday against Oklahoma State. Oregon State went 2-2 during the first weekend, defeating Northwestern and Michigan State before losing twice to New Mexico. The Beavers now have a couple days off in Surprise before resuming play Thursday at Surprise Stadium. OSU takes on Oklahoma State at noon PT (1 p.m. in Arizona). Oregon State University sophomore guard Sydney Wiese has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Wiese joins juniors Ruth Hamblin (Dec. 22 and Jan. 19) and Jamie Weisner (Jan. 26) as Beavers who have won the award this year. As a team, Oregon State leads the conference with four Player of the Week nods. Wiese had a historic week of the Oregon State, helping the Beavers to a pair of big wins. Wiese opened the week by becoming the new Oregon State career record holder in 3-pointers in OSU’s win over No. 12 Arizona State on Friday. She finished the game with 15 points, shooting 6-for-11. The Phoenix, Ariz. native followed that up by scoring a season-high 20 points and knocking down a season-best six 3-pointers against Arizona on Sunday. Wiese hit on six of her eight 3-point attempts. She also recorded five assists in the game. Overall, Wiese shot 61.9 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from long range in the two games. As a team, the Beavers moved back up to No. 7 in today’s AP rankings.
