Oregon’s men advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament with two wins this past weekend in Sacramento, CA.  The Ducks beat Iona Friday 93-77 and then got by Rhode Island Sunday 75-72.  Oregon (31-5) will take on Michigan, Thursday, 4 p.m., CBS-TV in Kansas City.  Oregon’s women play Duke today, 3:30 p.m., after beating Temple Saturday 71-70 in the women’s NCAA Tournament at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC.  Oregon State’s women advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 56-55 win over Long Beach State Friday in Corvallis, followed by a 64-52 win over Creighton on Sunday.  The Beavers (31-4) now head to the Stockton Regional where they will play Florida State on Saturday.

Oregon’s baseball team won two-out-of-three at California in Berkeley, CA this past weekend.  The Ducks won the Pac-12 opener on Friday 7-1, beat the Golden Bears on Saturday 13-2, but lost the final game Sunday4-1.  Oregon (2-1, 13-5) hosts Washington for a three-game series beginning Friday in Eugene.  Oregon State swept Arizona State in the desert.  The Beavers downed the Sun Devils 2-0 Thursday, 10-1 Friday, and 4-0 on Saturday.  OSU (3-0, 17-1) hosts Arizona Friday through Sunday in Corvallis.

Oregon’s softball team opened Pac-12 play this past weekend with a sweep of visiting California at Eugene.  Oregon beat the Golden Bears 5-1 Friday, 2-1 Saturday and 10-2 (5) on Sunday.  The Ducks (3-0, 27-0) play at Utah Saturday through Sunday.  Oregon State got swept by Arizona at home in Corvallis.  The Wildcats won a doubleheader Saturday 6-2 & 7-1, and completed the sweep Sunday 7-4.  OSU (0-3, 15-11) is at Arizona State Saturday through Sunday.
