Tuesday’s softball doubleheader against Portland State in Hillsboro has been rained out. The Ducks and Vikings will now play a doubleheader next Tuesday, April 14, starting at 4 PM at the Gordon Faber Rec Complex. No. 2 Oregon plays host to No. 19 ranked Arizona State this weekend for a three-game set at Howe Field starting Friday.

Oregon scored multiple runs in four different innings including the sixth, seventh and eighth to pull away from Portland 11-3 at Joe Etzel Field on Tuesday. Oregon scored a pair of runs in the first inning on a RBI double by Mitchell Tolman and a run scoring hit by Brandon Cuddy, but Portland (7-27) rallied with two runs in its half of the second and a run in the second to take a 3-2 lead. The Ducks (19-15) offense took the lead with three runs in the sixth and blew the game open with four more in the seventh and two in the eighth en route to the win. Josh Graham highlighted the late inning runs with a three-run home run in the seventh and Mitchell Tolman added a two-run bomb in the eighth. The Ducks return to Pac-12 play this weekend when they host Oregon State in the three-game Civil War series.
