Oregon track and field freshman Edward Cheserek was named one of three finalists for The Bowerman Trophy – collegiate track and field’s highest individual honor – Wednesday. Cheserek joins Lawi Lalang of Arizona and Deon Lendore of Texas A&M.  Cheserek made a significant splash on the collegiate scene in his freshman year, sweeping the indoor 3,000 and 5,000 meters national titles and adding a 10,000 meters national title outdoors while taking second in the 5,000 outdoors during the NCAA Championships’ all-time fastest race.
