University of Oregon Sophomore Sabrina Ionescu has been named one of 20 watch list members for the 2018 Nancy Lieberman Award, which annually goes to the top point guard in women’s college basketball. The award is presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The selection committee for the Nancy Lieberman Award is composed of top women’s college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers. By mid-February, the watch list of 20 players for the 2018 Lieberman Award will be narrowed to just 10. In March, five finalists will be presented to Ms. Lieberman and the selection committee. Fans will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite finalist at www.hoophallawards. Candidates exhibit the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills of Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman. Also on the list from the Pac-12 are Colorado’s Kennedy Leonard and UCLA’s Jordin Canada.
