The City of North Bend will have an election for the positions of Mayor and three City Councilors to be held on November 4, 2014. Interested citizens may obtain information and file with the City Elections Officer at the North Bend City Hall located at 835 California Ave., North Bend or call 541-756-8500 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. beginning Tuesday, June 25, 2014, through August 8, 2014. Candidates filing by petition deadlines are as follows: August 20, 2014 with Coos County Elections for signature verification; August 26, 2014 with City Recorder/Elections Officer for completion of the filing process. To qualify, a citizen must be a registered voter and must have resided within the City of North Bend for at least one year preceding the election date. The following are the requirements and items of importance for a prospective candidate. There are three City Council positions open for four-year terms, and the Mayor position is open for a two-year term.
