Following an extensive investigation by the Lincoln City Police Department and the Lincoln County Major Crimes Team, detectives have concluded that Jeanene Beck did not die under suspicious circumstances. There have been no signs of foul play detected throughout this investigation. On Sunday, November 19th an autopsy was performed by the Oregon State Medical Examiners Office. Preliminary reports from their office reveal that the probable cause of death is drowning. Original release: On November 17, 2017, at approximately 12:57PM, Jeanene Beck was reported missing from the Rodeway Inn located at 1070 SE 1st Street in Lincoln City. A resident of Gresham, Oregon, her and her twenty-three year old autistic son was visiting Lincoln City. It was reported by her son that Ms. Beck had been out for dinner, returning to the motel room Wednesday evening on November 16th. At about 9:00PM on November 16th, Ms. Beck left the motel room to have a cigarette. Ms. Beck’s son indicated that his mother had not returned to the motel room.
