USATF Championships
Galen Rupp added another national outdoor title to his resume with a win in the 10,000 meters at the 2014 USATF Outdoor Championships, Thursday, in Sacramento, CA.  The win makes six in a row for the former Oregon Duck, and Central Catholic of Portland runner, at the distance at which he set the American Record during the 2014 Prefontaine Classic.  Rupp looked comfortable throughout the race and made a big move with 500 meters remaining to blow away the field and finish in 28:12.07.  Former Duck Jordan Hasay finished second in the women’s 10,000, making a strong move with 200 meters to go, before Kim Conley answered with a surge of her own down the last 100 meters. The two finished a second apart with Hasay crossing in 32:03.28.
