Three fishermen were pulled from the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean off Coos Bay near Cape Arago Monday, May 29 after their 17-foot fishing vessel sank. According to a report from the U.S. Coast Guard, Coos Bay Station launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat and Station North Bend dispatched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter about 8 a.m. Three were found in the water wearing their life jackets. All three were rescued. The boat sank but was determined to be no threat to the environment.
