The Coos Bay School District Board of Directors would like to remind the community that the deadline for applicants to apply to fill the vacancy on the Board is this Friday, July 22, 2016. The Board will meet on Friday, July 29, at 5:30 PM, to appoint a new member to fill the vacancy. Interested community members are encouraged to fill out and submit the School Board Candidate Information Sheet linked here, postmarked by July 22, 2016. You must be a registered voter and have lived within the district boundary for at least one year. Please address the letter to Coos Bay Public Schools, Attn: Board of Directors, 1255 Hemlock Ave., Coos Bay, OR 97420. Although not a requirement, the Board hopes that the successful applicant would also be able to attend the Board’s August work-session on Saturday, August 13.
