Vehicle in Water, Feb. 19

News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 02-18-16 at about 0936 Hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Millington Fire and Rescue and Bay Cities Ambulance responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident near Milepost #1, Olive Barber road in Coos Bay. When personnel arrive they located Autumn Kreutzer, a 19 YOA female from Coos Bay. Ms. Kreutzer was waiting in a Pacific Power utility truck getting warm. Deputies learned that Ms. Kreutzer was traveling south on Olive Barber Road in her 2015 Volkswagon when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and crashed into Isthmus Slough. Members of the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division used a Kayak to assist Mast Brothers Towing in the recovery of the vehicle. Ms. Kreutzer admitted to driving too fast for the road conditions at the time of the crash. She was not injured in the crash and was checked by medical personnel at the scene.
