City of North Bend release – Show some love in February with Oregon Bay Area Beautification as they partner with the North Bend Parks Department again for its 2nd Saturday Clean up on February 11, 2023. This family-friendly clean-up effort will focus on the Windsor Disc Golf Course, Ferry Road Park, Simpson Park, and a portion of U.S. Hwy. 101 south of the McCullough Bridge. Projects include litter clean-up, removal of invasives, and abandoned camp clearing. Please park at Ferry Road Park and look for the sign directing you to the registration table. Wear appropriate footwear, and bring work gloves, tools for invasive removal, rakes, shovels, and trash grabbers if you have them. Sign-in starts at 12:30 pm at Ferry Road Park (496 Park Ave, North Bend, OR 97459), and the volunteer project goes from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. This event is rain or shine (so be prepared) but will be rescheduled to the 3rd Saturday if there are dangerous weather conditions.
