A suspicious vehicle investigation led to the arrest of a Wanted Coos County man. On July 30th, 2023, at about 1:56 pm, Deputy M.R. Smith received a direct report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Garden Valley Road near State Hwy 42. Deputy Smith located the vehicle unoccupied and contacted the registered owner. The registered owner advised Deputy Smith that he had entered into a civil agreement with Mr. Jeffrey Nickles (31) to possess the vehicle. Coos County Dispatch advised Deputy Smith of an active warrant for Mr. Nickles’ arrest. Mr. Nickles later arrived at the vehicle location and was arrested for the outstanding harassment warrant. Deputy Smith transported Mr. Nickles to the Coos County Jail where he was booked. It goes unnoticed at times, but we can often do our jobs by simple reports being made face-to-face with your Coos County Patrol Deputies.
