Warrant Served Spaw Lane, Aug. 11

News release CCSO.  On the morning of August 10, 2017 at approximately 2:00 AM Coos County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle located near the end of Spaw Lane just off of Cape Arago Hwy. The vehicle was called into the Sheriff’s Office by a concerned citizen who lived in the neighborhood. The report said possible drug use was going on. During the course of an investigation deputies contacted Jeffery Scott Clement, 48 years of age from Coos Bay. A record check revealed Mr. Clement had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation regarding his previous conviction from the Coos County Community Corrections. Mr. Clement was also on probation for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle through Coos County Parole and Probation. During the process of the arrest a large 10 inch fix blade knife was located under Mr. Clements left leg. Having this weapon is not allowed by a convicted felon and this will be referred to the Coos County District Attorney for charging. Also in the vehicle with Mr. Clement was suspected methamphetamine paraphernalia. Mr. Clement was transported to the Coos County jail where he is being held on bail due to the warrant. Mr. Clement was also referred to the District Attorney’s Office on the charges of felon in possession of a restricted weapon and unlawful possession of meth.
