Warrant, Seven Devils Rd., Aug. 17

CCSO release – On 08/13/21 at approximately 4:38 PM, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to contact a wanted subject on Seven Devils Road near milepost 13. Upon attempted contact the suspect who was identified as 40 year old Joseph P. Hinojosa of Coos Bay, fled from the deputy on foot off the west side of the roadway and into heavy brush to evade capture. Coos County Sheriff’s Office K9 Cena was called to the scene to conduct a criminal apprehension track for the suspect. After tracking about 100 yards down a steep ravine and through heavy brush, K9 Cena located Mr. Hinojosa hiding in a black berry bush. Mr. Hinojosa was taken into custody without incident and transported to the jail where he was lodged on the outstanding warrants for his arrest.
